PARIS, FRANCE Published 24.08.21David van der Leeuw is a self taught street photographer working with analog equipment, based between Amsterdam and Paris.
Since fully dedicating himself to photography in the spring of 2020, van der Leeuw is constantly creating personal work mostly inspired by unscripted moments on the streets and drawing influence from other artistic fields like cinematography & painting.
Always on the lookout for seemingly mundane details of urban life, reconstructing & elevating that detail to make it the center of attention in his photography. While this is the core of van der Leeuw’s work, he also works at translating this view in commissioned assignments for editorial clients and has multiple projects both in commissioned and personal work with his love, Sarah van Rij, who is also a photographer.
